Vaulting is often described as gymnastics and dance on horseback. Vaulting is an equestrian act that can often be found at circuses. At this camp we offer teenage girls the opportunity to try this FEI World Cup sport themselves. Monday will begin with an introduction to movement on the horse’s back and by Friday night campers will be ready to perform a routine together with single, double and triple kurs!

Thursday and Friday Areli Equine Entertainment will be joining us for their 8th year. Rusty McCray is a talented horseman that has taught our campers Rosinback, Trick Riding, and Roman Riding. Rusty offers his pair of trick riding horses to teach campers how to Roman Ride, or stand on the back of two moving horses. Campers also learn famous rodeo tricks such as the Apache Hideaway, the Death Drag, the Forward Fender and Hippodrome, to name a few. Campers will practice their favorite tricks to perform for their parents at our closing rodeo Friday night.

Horses can teach us a lot about our Lord. Both cabin and group devotions will encourage campers and strengthen their walk with the Lord. Between meaningful devotions, great food, practicing for the rodeo, trail rides every day, swimming and going down our 250 foot waterslide, campers are sure to remember this week for a long time.

There is a weight limit of 250 lbs. for all riders. It is highly recommended that you have the ability to mount and dismount the horse with minimal assistance.
